69 years old "punk father" or to send a new album

On March 18th, Iggy Pop will release his 17th album, "Post Pop Depression". The album was co-authored by Iggy Pop and Josh Homme, founder of Queen of the Stone Age, who finished recording at Homme's family studio with the help of the Queen of the Stone Age.
Last year in January, Iggy Pop sent a message to Homme, "Hey, if we write something at all, it should be fine." Afterwards, Pop then sends some of the lyrics and his notes with David Bowie Homme. Three months later, two people officially began to cooperate "Post Pop Depression" production. Album altogether 9 songs.
Iggy Pop is a 69-year-old man, and he is the world's "father of punk". In 1967, he set up the band Stooges, which is one of the world's first punk band, produced a punk music milestone album "Fun House", after all the punk band have their reference.
Punk music is a three-piece, three chords composed of a very simple form of rock and roll. The current punk music, often give people a simple, noisy, stupid and other impressions, and even some people do popular punk with "punk godfather", "punk music" such terms to decorate their own, as many fans like " Black "punk. But in the youth of Iggy Pop, the world's punk music is not the same thing.
Iggy Pop is the first time to play the blues, often to some blues music accompaniment. After the establishment of Stooges, he combines psychedelic music and blues rock, creating a punk music in this form of music. In the era of rock and roll commercialization, they are so maverick. After him, the Who, the Velvet Underground, Sex Pistols and other punk bands one by one, these people together to create a grumpy era.
Iggy Pop also created Bruce, but his punk did not stop, in 2012 he also released a very punk ep, "Let's Boot and Rally". But the new album in March did not know what style, the album's name says "Post Pop", which seems to be Iggy Pop own, an unprecedented form of music. Perhaps his transformation of pop music, but more likely to be ironic it.
